Dancing The Ramayana
Traditional Asian Stories told beautifully through dance and live music.
Epic and legendary stories inspired by the Ramayana will be brought to life by a dancer, using Kathak, classical dance from the north of India, and two musicians to illustrate the stories.
The Ramayana is an ancient Sanskrit epic, which follows Prince Rama's quest to rescue his beloved wife Sita from the clutches of demon king Ravana with the help of an army of monkeys!
Colourful costumes, wonderful music, intricate foot rhythms, swift pirouettes and lyrical gestures - a feast for the eyes and ears!
